FundLife uses sport as a tool to provide pathways for marginalised youth to break from cycle of intergenerational poverty and dependence. Football for Life, FundLife’s flagship programme was first launched in 2014 in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan which saw over 1 million children displaced across the country. Initially a play therapy intervention providing support to survivor children & debriefing them, the programme has now evolved into a holistic, community-based education programme which aligns children's’ passion for play and inculcates commitment to pursue education. The programme now reached over 500 children across 10 marginalised communities in Tacloban every week.
