Orion is a non-profit supporting children and adults with disabilities. They began as a Residential Care facility for people with disabilities and have grown to also provide Day Care Centres for both adults and children, offering education, development, therapeutic and social care programmes.

Their Protective Work Centre provides training and daily work for adults with disabilities, activity takes place both in the centre and work is also contracted out to local businesses to generate further income. A vocational Art Programme trains adults to develop a career with their art and a vegetable garden is communally maintained to grow produce for the centres. Orion receives 50% of its income from donations, the rest comes from income generating activities which they are working to develop and sustain. This is all run from their compound in Atlantis, which is just outside Cape Town.
