Tomorrow I leave for Kigali, Rwanda.
I’m not looking forward to the airplane trip itself too much (24 ½ hours) but I’m definitely looking forward to getting to Rwanda. AfID and YaLa Africa have been very helpful getting things organized and all arrangements went smoothly.
A little bit about me – I’m a retired Chartered Accountant living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I found AfID doing a Google search for volunteering. I like travelling and photography. Since there are still lots of places in the world I haven’t been I thought I’d give an AfID assignment a try to make my travelling a bit more meaningful.
